The Play Room

Why hello there. The last time we spoke, I told you that we now have three babies. Well, those "babies" are quickly becoming "kids" and moving and playing, and roaming all over the place.

For years now, we've used the "Breezeway" (you can find a post all about it HERE) as a smorgasbord playroom/office area. If you have kids, you probably know these two things (trying to work in a quiet area and kids with toys all over the place) don't mix too well.

This past week we worked hard on converting the Breezeway to a Play Room for the kids and I've been loving making it our very own. This is a spot close to the living room where the kids can play, create messes, read, and do our learning time everyday.

The big comfy chair we've had will be filled with laps and reading and I created the "Let's Play" Sign using my Silhouette machine.

On the other side, a cabinet stocked full of games is sure to get a lot of use these coming years. *Someone snuck into this picture :)

As well as the school organization since Aislyn is starting Kindergarten this year. Since we don't have a "mudroom," book bag hooks and paper bins will do.

And these little cups from Ikea make the perfect crayon/marker/supply holders.

Since we are using this room as a play room now and not an office, we needed a place to put Jesse's huge desk.
A few years ago, we renovated the space above our garage and made it into a Speech Therapy Room for me to see students and also work on my business (you can read all about that post HERE).

Since I won't be seeing students this next year, we decided to switch some things around.  We took the Speech Therapy room above our garage and converted it solely to office and work space. We now have both desks up here and can use it as a quiet haven away from the rest of the house.

This house is constantly changing with our changing family, which is what makes us love it so much!
